Little Goku is living his best life in the Dragon Ball Daima trailer

Akira Toriyama’s new creation will hit screens this fall.

He will celebrate his 40th birthday at the end of the year, but he is still incredibly young! Goku will make his return in a brand new animated series, Dragon Ball DaimaAnd Akira Toriyama in person revealed the first real trailer, which reveals never-before-seen images of the Saiyan in little boy mode.

For a minute, we see him leaving Earth to go to other planets. He is still a child, with Nyoi-bō, his famous magic staff, on his back. We discover him gorging himself with glee, then facing a whole horde of enemies, with even more pleasure!

“I imagined the story and the settings, as well as many designs” assures Toriyama, whom this video presents as the creator of Dragon Ball Daima. “In fact, I spent a lot more time on it than usual. Things are going to happen that are close to the mysteries of the world of Dragon Ball…”

Concretely, we still don’t know what the pitch of the story will be and how it will be included in the vast saga. Dragon Ball. They talk to us”of a story never told“, which will see Goku and the rest of his friends (Vegeta, Bulma, Chi-Chi, Yamcha, C-18…) transform into a younger version of themselves. In order to remedy the situation and allow everyone to regain their physique and normal size, they will embark on an epic journey.

We understand from this trailer that this whole “rejuvenation” story will in fact be the good excuse to remake a light and adventurous cartoon, in the vein of the original Dragon Ball. Clearly, Toriyama puts a stop to the escalation of powers, which has gone really very far in Dragon Ball Super.

Dragon Ball Daima will return to the roots of fun. The release of the series is confirmed for fall 2024, in Japan.
