Magnum series canceled after 5 seasons

The Last Chapter will have 10 episodes and will air in 2024 in the United States.

The Ferrari returns to the garage. The detective series Magnum PI remake of the 80’s classic is officially over. The second part of season 5, which will be released in 2024, will be the last.

Deadline announces that NBC has chosen not to order more episodes of Magnum beyond the 20-episode fifth season now airing. She prefers “to mount a major campaign” around the last chapter which will consist of the remaining 10 episodes.

It should be recalled that Part 1 of Season 5 was broadcast on NBC from February 2023 to April 2023. Season 5, Part 2 should be offered around January 2024, but this broadcast could be brought forward, depending on the strike of the Writers Guild of America (WGA).

Remember that the series Magnum original had lasted 8 years and 162 episodes between 1980 and 1988. The remake will have been twice as short and will only have 86 episodes on arrival.
