Matthew Vaughn gives an update on Kingsman 3 and things are progressing well!
Colin Firth and Taron Egerton should be back in action.
While he is in mode Argyle these days, Matthew Vaughn don’t forget its flagship franchise. Kingsman 3 was not abandoned. The sequel should see the light of day. In an interview with Collider, the filmmaker reveals that he would like to begin production quickly, pressed by the passage of time:
“As for Kingsman 3, we need to get on with it quickly… Before Colin (Firth) gets too old and, dare I say it, before Taron (Egerton) gets too old either!”
Matthew Vaughn specifies at the same time that Kingsman 3 will be “definitively the conclusion of their relationship“, implying the end of the trilogy Kingsman.
He reveals in passing that the writing of the scenario is progressing well: “LThe first act is currently being written. The third act is currently being written. Act two needs a little more work. So for now we know how it ends, we know how it begins…”
Kingsman 3 should be a direct continuation of Golden Circle, released in 2017. Sequel delayed by the start of work on the prequel, The King’s Manreleased in 2021.
