Megamind 2: streaming trailer for the sequel, without Brad Pitt or Will Ferrell

Not yet planned in France, Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate will be broadcast on the American platform Peacock next March.

Friendly superheroic animated film from 2010, Megamind will be entitled to a sequel this year… but not in the cinema. The American platform Peacock has just revealed the trailer for Megamind 2: The Doom Syndicate. The film will be released in streaming on March 1, 2024, and has no release planned in France, neither in cinemas nor elsewhere (Peacock is not available here).

We understand from the video that the franchise has made the choice of kids. Megamind will be recycled as a cartoon character and the low-budget production of this TV movie will offer basic computer animation and a cast emptied of its stars. More than Brad Pitt nor of Will Ferrell nor of Tina Fey. They are replaced by unknown voice actors.

Megamind vs The Doom Syndicatedirected by Eric Fogel, will be a direct sequel that will tell the story of how Megamind will form a new team in order to stop his former evil teammates.

Dreamworks Animation, which produced the film, has already planned to expand the saga. Indeed, this Megamind 2 will mainly serve as an introduction to a new animated series, Megamind Ruleswhich will also arrive on the streaming service on March 1.
