Michael B. Jordan gives updates on I Am Legend 2

So, where are we with the rest of I'm a legend ? Its star, Michael B.Jordan, gave an interview to People magazine during which he gave very meager information: “we are still working on the script, so that it is up to par”did he declare. “But there's no release date or anything yet. I'm not even sure when the filming date will be, but I'm very excited to get in front of a camera with (Will Smith). He's someone I've admired for a very long time, and I'm looking forward to working with him. I'm very excited.”

Not much, right? The project is also starting to drag on a little. I am legend 2 was announced in March 2022with the star of Creed in the main role. And, as you have understood, with Will Smith returns as Robert Neville, (apparently) the sole survivor of an apocalyptic land where vampires reign. The film I'm a legendreleased in 2007 and directed by Francis Lawrence, was the third adaptation of the novel of the same name by Richard Matheson: a big hit in theaters, in which Will Smith died at the end, sacrificing himself to save humanity… Weird, but not panic : I'm a legend 2 – written by Akiva Goldsman, co-writer of the first – should follow the alternative ending (present on the DVD) where Robert survives and goes in search of a colony of humans. Last month, Will Smith praised Michael's qualities (“that dude is the truth”, these kinds of sentences), without saying much more about the progress of the project. While waiting to have more concrete news (such as knowing who will carry out I am legend 2), Will Smith is currently starring in Bad Boys: Ride or Die, while we will find Michael B. Jordan in March 2025 in the mysterious next film by Ryan Coogler. Besides, wouldn't the actor's favorite director (and Black Panther) be available for I am legend 2 ? We put that there.
