Michael Fassbender will star in George Clooney's Bureau of Legends
The former X-Men could begin filming next spring.
After being the Killer by David Fincher, Michael Fassbender is about to play Malotru. You will have understood, we are talking here about Legends Office, which will soon be entitled to its US remake. Today, Variety reveals that George Clooney will do it himself The Department, in the wake of Eric Rochant. He will also produce with Grant Heslov.
The old X-Men is currently in discussions to take over the lead role in the US version of the spy series. Michael Fassbender could sign quickly to begin filming The Department in London in the spring.
It's not yet clear what the story will be about, or whether Fassbender will play an American replica of Malotru or a completely new character.
This remake of Legends Office will be broadcast in the United States by the cable channel Showtime.
The American broadcaster teases his version thus: “Just as Homeland took global espionage to the next level, The Department will go further and take viewers into a world of subterfuge with complex characters battling their own demons as they battle national and global threats.”
