An inveterate fan of Don’t forget the lyrics, Fatou plans to bring Bénédicte, a former opera singer, back on stage.

Bénédicte, an opera singer, sees her career take a turn for the worse after an evening full of excess. It is Fatou, an amateur singer who proudly devotes herself to karaoke, who will get Bénédicte’s head above water, by giving her the virus of total amateur stage performance. Fatou sets herself a challenge: convince Bénédicte to participate in the big national karaoke competition. The alchemy should be there since the perfect vocal mastery of one combines with the perseverance of the other. This mixture could well create an anthology fireworks display.

Stéphane Ben Lahcene reiterates its collaboration with Michèle Laroquewith whom he had recorded Best in class (available on FirstMax) in 2019. In a less academic project, Michèle Laroque will sing the song with Claudia Tagbothe Ivorian-French actress and comedian, in this comedy where we can also find David Mora.

Karaoke will be released on March 20, 2024 in theaters.
