Michèle Laroque, star of the first French series from Paramount Plus

Tout pour Agnès will tell a true story, a news item dating from the 1970s: the Agnès Le Roux Affair.

Like all American platforms arriving in France, Paramount Plus will also release its original French series – arising from the obligation to finance French fiction (voted in 2021). It will be the first of its kind for the streamer and it will be called Tower for Agnes.

On December 1, Paramount+ will preview this historic mini-series, which will then be visible unencrypted, during 2024, on France 2 and france.tv.

Everything for Agnes is inspired by the true story of the Palais de la Méditerranée. “In Nice, in the 1970s, Renée Le Roux ruled the city’s historic casino with an iron fist, the object of all desire. In the midst of the green carpet war, she stood alone against the mafia and refused to give in to intimidation and takeover proposals from his main competitor, Jean-Dominique Fratoni, determined to become the “Emperor of the Games” of the Côte d’Azur. But, at the heart of this fight, his daughter, Agnès does not understand not that the rules have changed. Pushed by her lover, the sulphurous lawyer, Maurice Agnelet, Agnès sells her shares in the family casino to Jean-Dominique Fratoni. A few months later, Agnès mysteriously disappears. For Renée, there is no doubt: Maurice Agnelet has killed his daughter to win the bet. A fool’s game begins between them, a game of cat and mouse, a forty-year fight until the truth comes out.”

At the casting, Michèle Laroque will play Renée Le Roux, Yannick Choirat will be Maurice Agnelet and Marie Zabukovec will play Agnès Le Roux.

Fiction directed by Vincent Garenq, written by Nicolas Jean, Isabelle Dubernet and Olivier Eloy, Everything for Agnes will be spread over 4 episodes of 52 minutes.
