Mickey 17, Bong Joon-ho’s film with Robert Pattinson, no longer has a release date

Warner also announces the delay of Godzilla x Kong.

According to Variety, the Warner Bros. studio. removed Mickey 17the next film from Bong Joon-ho, of his calendar. It was initially scheduled to be released on March 29, 2024, but a source confirms to the American media that its delay was decided to give more time for post-production.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Kingdom therefore brings forward its release date to take the place of Mickey 17 on March 29 in the United States, instead of its initial release on April 12, 2024.

Robert Pattinson is the star of the feature film Bong Joon-ho which tells the story of Mickey 7, an employee whose mission is to colonize a frozen planet. Each time he dies, his memories are implanted into a new resurrected body so that he can resume his mission.

This is the South Korean filmmaker’s third English-language film after Snowpiercer And Okja. Steven Yeun, Tony Collette, Naomi Ackie And Mark Ruffalo are all members of the cast of this mysterious project, adapted from the science fiction novel Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton. The studio has yet to reveal anything other than a cryptic teaser. There is no new release date planned at this time.

Regarding Godzilla x Kong: The New Kingdomthis opus is part of the continuity of the Monsterverse and is the direct sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong. According to the title and the trailer, this time the two titans will have to unite to fight a new threat: another giant ape, responsible for the death of Kong’s family. The film is released on March 29 in the United States. Will its change of date impact France? For now, it is set for April 10.
