Minecraft will be available as an animated series on Netflix

A short video announces the collaboration of the video game and the platform.

It's a nice birthday present. For his 15th birthday, Minecraft just signed with Netflix. Mojang Studios will produce a CGI animated series for the platform, as they announced in this short teaser video.

According to Variety, the series should “present an original story with new characters, showing the world of Minecraft in a new light”. We don't know much more. It is currently being developed with the animation studio WildBrain, which has already worked with Netflix on the series Sonic Prime And Carmen Sandiego.

let's remember that Minecraft will also be entitled to his live action film with Jack Black. Released in theaters on April 4, 2025. The series Minecraft from Netflix does not yet have a date.
