Mission Impossible 7: they made an entire train… to throw it off a cliff!

“No one in the world does real special effects at this level and maybe no one ever will!”

We don’t joke about green funds at Ethan Hunt. No question of tweaking everything digitally, mission impossible 7 was made with as many real stunts as possible and “practical” effects. When Tom Cruise throws himself off a cliff on a motorbike with his parachute on his back, it’s really Tom Cruise who throws himself off a cliff on a motorcycle with his parachute on his back! And when Christopher McQuarrie wants to blow up a train… he actually builds a real train to be able to destroy it!

In this completely crazy video, the filmmaker explains in detail how the famous waterfall was made in Norway, teased since the start of filming. We see Tom Cruise And Essay Morales fight on the roof of a train speeding through the reliefs of the Scandinavian country.

Christopher McQuarrie says that the team of Impossible mission actually had a train made for the purposes of the shoot. And not just a carcass: they imagined entire wagons, with precise and detailed interiors. A complete train, capable of running on real railway tracks at a speed of 100 km/h, while Ethan Hunt puts on his show on the roof. A superb cinema train, which he will end up throwing from the top of a cliff and crashing 200 meters below. And again, everything was filmed for real! The pictures are stunning.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 will be released on July 12 at the cinema in France.
