Murder at the End of the World: Emma Corrin leads the investigation at Clive Owen

This new detective series with a Generation Z Sherlock Holmes will be available to watch on Disney+.

Created by Brit Marling And Zal Batmanglij (The East, The O.A.), Murder at the End of the World is a new television thriller taking the form of a whodunit (police sub-genre popularized by Agatha Christie and her character Hercule Poirot). Darby Hart (Emma Corrinwho plays Lady Diana in The Crown) is invited with 11 other people to the remote home of a billionaire (Clive Owen) for retirement. When a first guest dies, Darby investigates to prove it was an assassination. Isolated in the middle of a polar landscape, she will have to be careful.

Even if the pitch presents us with a plot of whodunit, the teaser reveals a particularly dark atmosphere. Darby immediately appears as a character out of step with those around him. A line from another character tells us that “The LA Times calls her the Sherlock Holmes of Generation Z”, implying that despite her young age, she has already distinguished herself with her detective skills. The co-creator of the series Brit Marling also plays one of the guests. Darby Hart therefore aspires to join the pantheon of investigators like Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot or even Benoît Blanc (Daniel Craig In At loggerheads And Glass Onion). As for the actress Emma Corrin, we will soon find her on the poster of Deadpool 3.

Murder at the End of the World will be available on Disney+ on November 14, 2023.
