Rian Johnson confirms, in video, and gives the title of this new sequel.

As promised, Ryan Johnson is in the process of concocting the third opus of his saga At loggerheads. Following the success of the first part at the cinema, at the end of 2019 at the cinema, Netflix hired the director and his main actor, Daniel Craig, at a golden price to turn two new shutters. Glass Onion was released at the end of 2022 on the platform, and we have just learned that the third part would be ready for next year. Rian Johnson is working hard on Knives Out 3: “It’s progressing!”

Benoit Blanc will therefore be back in 2025, probably at the end of the year like his two predecessors, and he should once again lead the investigation, surrounded by a five-star cast. After Ana de Armas, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis and Christopher Plummer in At loggerheadsand Edward Norton, Kate Hudson or Dave Bautista in Glass Onion, which stars will join this third opus? We should quickly find out, Johnson continuing on X with this message:

“We’ll tell you more very soon.

There is a whole spectrum of tones, (John Dickson) Carr to (Agatha) Christie, and having the opportunity to explore that range, it's one of the most interesting things about making films following Benoit Blanc.

We're about to go into production on the third film, and I'm very, very excited to share the title, which gives a little hint of what's going to happen there.

After its satire on American society, via a first scathing portrait of a rich family, and its equally murderous comedy towards tech millionaires, what will be the targets of this third At loggerheads ? The creator of Star Wars 8 will he attack mystical beliefs? This title about a dead man able to rise again evokes certain dark stories by Agatha Christie, such as Pumpkin Festival/The Halloween Crimerecently adapted (freely) by Kenneth Branagh under the title Mystery in Venice. It is also the title ofa U2 song… as “Glass Onion was referring to the music of the Beatles? “Wake Up Dead Man” dates from 1997:

Should we see Glass Onion as a satire of Elon Musk?
