Netflix relaunches Tomb Raider with a Marvel star in the cast: trailer

We discover the first images of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft.

After Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander in the cinema, after Camilla Luddington in recent video games, it’s the turn of Hayley Atwell to take over the role of Lara Croft. She will voice the brand new Netflix animated series, titled Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. And we discover a first official preview below of the project currently in development:

Produced by Legendary Television, video game developer Crystal Dynamics and animated by Powerhouse Animation, this series tomb Raider will take place after the events of Square Enix’s video game trilogy and will have nothing to do with the films.

L’Agent Carter from Marvel will therefore double the adventurer in new quests around the world, whileAllen Maldonado (Heels) will do Zip, the technology expert and colleague of Lara Croft. Finally, Earl Baylon will reprise his voice role from the video games namely Jonah Maiava, Lara’s friend.

Tasha Huo (from the prequel series The Witcher: Blood Origin from Netflix) wrote and produced the animated series. Release expected in 2024.
