No Prey 2, but a new Predator movie in the future is coming

Dan Trachtenberg will once again direct.

Nice success of summer 2022 on Disney Plus, Prey took the Predator to the Comanche Nation 300 years ago. A sequel had been in the works for several months and it has somehow come to fruition today 20th Century Studios. It will be called Badlands.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s Dan Trachtenbergalready director of Preywho will be at the helm of this new blockbuster whose filming will begin next July.

Few plot details have leaked, but we understand that Badlands won’t quite be a Prey 2. The film will take place “in the future” and will be carried by a new female character. The screenplay is written by Trachtenberg and Patrick Aison, as was the case for Prey.

THR specifies that Disney has other plans Predator in line of sight, to expand for the franchise.
