No season 2 for Sandman yet, but here is a spin-off: Dead Boy Detectives

First trailer for this new adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s comics.

A little over a year after the broadcast of Sandman, we still do not know if season 2 will see the light of day, or when. But already, here is a new adaptation of Neil Gaiman with Dead Boy Detectivesa spin-off that takes place in the universe of Sandman. The story of a detective agency run by two deceased teenagers…

“In this new supernatural series set in the Sandman universe, two teenagers find themselves in death… and will do everything to stay together, including escaping evil witches, Hell and Death herself. Teaming up with a clairvoyant named Crystal, they attempt to unravel some of the most mystifying paranormal mysteries in the mortal realm” Netflix promises in the synopsis.

The platform also reveals the first trailer, which shows Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), the two young ghosts on a mission.

Steve Yockey (The Flight Attendant) and Beth Schwartz (Sweet Tooth) are co-showrunners of this series produced by Greg Berlanti.

No date yet. Dead Boy Detectives will be released in 2024 on Netflix.
