No Season 3 for Outer Ranger, the series is cancelled

“Along with No Country For Old Men and Sicario, Outer Range is one of the three most glorious titles I’ve had the chance to participate in,” said Josh Brolin, who regrets Prime Video’s decision.

The Abbotts won’t be bothering each other anymore: Outer Range has been officially cancelled. The sci-fi western had made its return in the spring, after a two-year absence. But season 2 did not draw the crowds and Josh Brolin today confirms, to its great dismay, the cancellation of Outer Range :

“Even though I think it’s a misstep for Amazon Prime to cancel our beloved Outer Rangeit will never diminish or take away from the greatness of this idea, this cast of diamonds in the rough. And the hardest-working crew I have ever met,” laments the show’s star actor. “As for creative integrity: 2-0. We win.”

And Josh Brolin to conclude by proclaiming his adoration for the series: “With No Country For Old Men and Sicario, Outer Range is one of the three most glorious titles I have had the chance to participate in. Thank you. And see you soon… elsewhere.”
