We’ve all dreamed of revealing our four truths to a neighbor in a very bitter letter. Well that’s exactly the story of Scandalously Yours. Olivia Colman And Jessie Buckley play two neighbors living in Littlehampton in 1920, when the village is upset by a series of insulting letters sent to the character ofOlivia Colman. Jessie Buckley plays a free-spirited, flowery-speaking woman who immediately comes under suspicion. The village investigator is then on the job to unmask the author of the letters.

Directed by Thea Sharrock, Scandalously Yours takes the form of the British comedy of the period, where morals could not be more rigid. The trailer reveals some comic situations as well as the more global treatment of the behavior of women in 1920. Through these real facts, the aim is to show the discrepancy between the character of Jessie Buckleywhose confidence becomes a trap in this society of bigots.

Timothy Spall And Anjana Vasan respectively play the husband ofOlivia Colman and Littlehampton Police Inspector. Scandalously Yours will be released in cinemas on March 13, 2024.
