One Piece: the final trailer is out

The day before the release of the anime adaptation, Netflix unveils a final trailer.

A lot of pressure weighs on the shoulders of One Piecethe live action adaptation of the manga by Eiichiro Oda. With its release scheduled for Thursday, August 31, the final trailer arrives as a final appetizer before the reveal, after the posting online of a featurette presenting behind the scenes of the series. We will follow the adventures of young Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his motley crew in his quest to find the One Piece, a legendary treasure, and thus become the Pirate King.

The series seems to cover a fairly long temporality since it reveals flashbacks of the childhood of its hero and the birth of his vocation. The trailer, rich in fragments of action scenes, gives us a glimpse of the promised spectacle, both in the fights and in the discovery of the extended universe. Fans expect many of the anime’s iconic characters to be there. Eiichiro Oda created a major work of popular culture and this adaptation in live-action will be an additional stone to the mythology One Piece.
