Oppenheimer becomes the first biopic of all time at the box office

Christopher Nolan’s film doubles as Bohemian Rhapsody.

Cillian Murphy breaks records asOppeheimer. The film of Christopher Nolan is now the most successful biopic of all time at the global box office. This weekend it crossed the $912 million revenue mark. Oppeheimer thus exceeds Bohemian Rhapsody. The biopic dedicated to Freddy Mercury and the creation of Queen, led by Rami Malek, totaled $910.8 million at the worldwide box office in 2018.

With its small budget of 55 million dollars, Bohemian Rhapsody has since been the biggest biopic of all time. It is now Oppenheimerwhich benefits, it must be noted, from a budget well in excess of $100 million.

Note that, carried all summer by the “Barbenheimer” effect, the historical film around the creation of the atomic bomb, will establish itself as the third biggest success of the career of Christopher Nolanbehind the two Dark Knight (billionaire) but ahead Interstellar.
