Outlander: the new series in filming, the casting revealed

Entitled Outlander: Blood of My Blood, it will tell us the love stories of Jamie’s parents, and also Claire’s parents.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood was initially supposed to focus on Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie. The new series will actually also tell the saga of Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp.

“The series will center on these two parallel love stories set in two different time periods, with Jamie’s parents in the Scottish Highlands of the early 18th century and Claire’s parents in World War I England,” announces the official synopsis, which also reveals the casting.

Jamie Roy (Condor’s Nest) will play Brian opposite Harriet Slater (Pennyworth) who will be Ellen. On the other side of time, Jeremy Irvine (War Horse) And Hermione Corfield (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) will play Henry and Julia respectively.

In a press release, Matthew B. Roberts, showrunner, said he was delighted to “tell the stories of these two couples. The origins of their relationships explore universal themes that transcend time and we are thrilled that fans will discover and fall in love with these characters and their love stories as they did with Claire and Jamie.”

According to Starz, production of the first season ofOutlander: Blood of My Bloodconsisting of 10 episodes has already started.
