Patrick Dempsey joins the world of Dexter

The Grey’s Anatomy actor will play the boss of the Miami police in the new series, dedicated to the youth of the serial killer.

McDreamy vs. Dexter Morgan! Patrick Dempsey joined the prequel of Dextertitled Original Sin. The former of Grey’s Anatomy will play Aaron Spencer, the captain of Miami Metro Homicide – the local police force – who is close to Harry Morgan (played by Christian Slater) since many decades.

“Patrick Dempsey is a beloved actor who is known internationally. We are thrilled to have him join our all-star cast on Dexter: Original Sinthis origin story of the highly anticipated franchise” comments on the production.

Crossed in the mini-series Harry Quebert and in the series Devils these last years, Patrick Dempsey found at the casting Patrick Gibson (The O.A.) who will make the young Dexter Morgan. Molly Brown (Billions) will be young Debra while James Martinez will make the young Angel Batista and Christina Milian will play Maria LaGuerta in her younger years.

“Set in 1991 Miami, 15 years before the original series, as Dexter goes from student to vengeful serial killer. When his bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. Under the guidance of his father, Harry, he adopts a code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on the radar of law enforcement.”

Dexter: Original Sin will make 10 episodes and will be broadcast on Paramount + in France.
