Pedro Pascal amazed by the “impressive” filming of Gladiator 2
The actor salutes the precision of director Ridley Scott.
Before being the new Reed Richards of Fantastic Four from Marvel, Pedro Pascal will take out his sword Gladiator 2. In an interview with Vanity Fair, he talks about his experience on the shoot, which wrapped last month. And he admits to having been amazed by the scale of the project, both in terms of the budget and the vision of Ridley Scott :
“I have already participated in large productions, on huge sets, where the identity of the project resided, in a sense, in its excess. And yet, I have never participated in a set as impressive as that of Gladiator 2″.
Pedro Pascal continues by saluting the work of Ridley Scott, a very precise filmmaker, who “leaves very little room for imagination in the most classic sense of the term. He planned everything. All the players and all the pieces of the puzzle are there, in place for a specific day. He knows where he’s going and suddenly, thinking he’s a powerful figure in the Roman Empire no longer becomes a problem…”
We don’t yet know exactly who will play. Pedro Pascal In Gladiator 2but obviously, it will be a strong man of the Empire.
Filmed largely in Malta, Gladiator 2 will see Paul Mescal play Lucius, the son of Maximus and Lucilla, the sister of Commodus. Connie Nielsen will be back in the cast. Pedro Pascal And Denzel Washington will also be part of the party.
Gladiator 2 is scheduled for November 22, 2024 in theaters.
