Photos from canceled Game of Thrones starring Naomi Watts leak online

We would have almost forgotten it, but before House of the DragonHBO had attempted another spin-off of Game Of Thrones. At the casting, Naomi Watts would have been the star. However, only a pilot was filmed in the summer of 2018. The series, written by Jane Goldman, did not convince Warner Bros. who preferred to pass and not order the series, instead committing to House of the Dragon.
Today, we discover some never before seen photos from this unique episode of Game Of Thrones. Photos taken on set and uploaded to Instagram by hair and makeup artist Flora Moody, who worked on the series. We see Naomi Watts as Queen of Westeros:
“It’s a chance to play with the shape and proportions of the wig,” says Moody in his message which tells about his job. “Work together to find the character who embodies the director’s vision. Collaboration is key”, she assures before specifying the pilot in question:
“It was a new prequel to Game of Thrones that I shot 4 years ago with the wonderful Naomi Watts. The series was to take place during the Age of Heroes, which takes place approximately 5,000 years before the events of the original series. And it was rumored to be a sort of origin story for the Long Night, a period known as an endless winter in Westeros…”
Subtitled Bloodmoonthe series will ultimately never see the light of day.
