Prey and Cloverfield Lane Director Joins Stranger Things Final Season

Dan Trachtenberg joins the production of the fifth season.

After the signing of Linda Hamilton, the final season of Stranger Things takes on a new cinematic dimension. Dan Trachtenbergdirector of popular science fiction films like 10 Cloverfield Lanebut also Preythe prequel to predator, has just been hired to direct an episode of this fifth season. We don’t know which one yet. The grand finale?

Dan Trachtenberg has already passed through the small screen, since he had signed the memorable pilot of The Boys for Prime Video.

His signature proves that the production continues at Hawkins, even if the filming of Stranger Things is officially on hiatus due to the writers’ strike. The Duffer Brothers explained a few days ago:

“The writing doesn’t stop when filming begins. We were excited to begin production with our amazing cast and crew, but that’s not possible during this strike. We hope a fair deal will be reached soon.” (between the studios and the writers’ union) so we can all get back to work. Until then, we’re on hold.”
