Launched in June 2023, but largely disrupted by strikes in Hollywood, during the summer, the filming of Gladiator 2 has officially ended. It is Paul Mescalthe new hero of Ridley Scottwho announces it in the company of the director, with this souvenir photo to announce: “The End”.

Gladiator 2 had resumed production at the end of December 2023. At that time, Ridley Scott estimated he had filmed 85% of what he wanted. It will therefore have taken two or three weeks to film the remaining 15%.

Filmed largely in Malta, Gladiator 2 will see Paul Mescal play Lucius, the son of Maximus and Lucilla, the sister of Commodus. Connie Nielsen will be back in the cast. Pedro Pascal And Denzel Washington will also be part of the party.

Gladiator 2 is scheduled for November 22, 2024 in theaters.
