Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu has a release date

He will emerge from the shadows at Christmas time…

After The Northman And The Lighthouse, Robert Eggers tackles a cinema myth: Nosferatu ! The famous vampire created by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau in 1922 will return to theaters in the guise of Bill Skarsgard…at Christmas time!

Focus Features today announced a release date for Nosferatu until December 25, 2024 in the United States. He could face Jordan Peele’s next film, currently untitled, scheduled for the same day! Unless Universal, which distributes the two films, revises its schedule. The French date of Nosferatu is not yet known.

“The audacious cinema of Robert Eggers is always a gift for fans, and we can promise that its Nosferatu will be a real Christmas feast” rejoices Peter Kujawski, president of Focus Features in a press release.

Nosferatu is presented as “a gothic tale, about the obsession of a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire in love with her, causing indescribable horror in his wake.”

Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney, and Willem Dafoe are also in the cast.
