Do you really know the person you live with? Role Play is an action comedy on the principle of Mr and Mrs Smith (2005). Kaley Cuoco (famous for her role as Penny in The Big Bang Theory) plays Emma, a young mother married to Dave (David Oyelowo) and living a peaceful and banal life in every way. But Emma hides a double life: she is an international and wanted hitwoman. When a seasoned inspector (Connie Nielsen) reveals his wife’s profession to Dave, he will do everything to save his marriage and help Emma leave this environment… causing a few deaths in the process.
The trailer for Role Play features the light-hearted atmosphere of a family action comedy. Kaley Cuoco is the badass heroine having lived a thousand lives while her husband David Oyelowo is the kind father overwhelmed by the situation. Bill Nighy is added to the cast in the role of the antagonist, the man who orders the multiple attacks against Emma and her family. The film promises situational gags arising from the gap between Emma’s job as a killer and the tranquility of her family life. Role Play will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from January 12, 2024.
