Ryan Reynolds can have all the cameos he wants to boost Deadpool 3
“Yes, I like that there is a proliferation of casting rumors around my film.”
But who is going to show up in Deadpool 3 ? Taylor Swift ? Others?
Director Shawn Levy builds suspense, in an interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast. Without really confirming anything, he responds to the various rumors surrounding the expected cameos in the casting of Deadpool 3 and he confesses one thing: Ryan Reynolds is so popular right now that he brings in whoever he wants.
“What blew me away was how easy it was to get certain cameos for this movie. People love Deadpool. People love Ryan (Reynolds). Luckily, people seem to like my work too. They know that Ryan and I live in a unique creative brotherhood and it works…”
In other words, all of Hollywood is fighting to be in it. And Shawn Levy feeds on this “hype”: “Yes, I like that there is a proliferation of casting rumors around my film. And there are so many that it’s impossible to know what’s real and what’s made up. So whatever I will say, getting to work with Ryan and Hugh, and Matthew McFadyen and Emma Corrin is truly a delight.”
Deadpool 3 will also return to the cast Leslie Uggams, Morena Baccarin, Stefan Kapicic, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna. For the other names, you will have to be patient.
Initially scheduled for May 2024, the film should be pushed back a few months by Marvel.
