Song Kang-ho on Disney Plus: Parasite actor will star in Uncle Samsik series

The Parasite actor will meet the screenwriter of It’s Turning in Seoul!

Disney is banking on Song Kang-ho. The star of Parasite will play the main role ofUncle Samsika South Korean drama that will stream globally on Disney Plus.

According to Deadline, the story is set in the 1960s and will follow Kim San (played by Byun Yo-han). “An ambitious idealist who wants to turn around his country’s fortunes, San attracts the attention of Pak Doochill – also known as Uncle Samsik. He’s a “shady guy” who does whatever is necessary to accomplish what his boss wants. The duo forms an uneasy alliance, one that forces them to navigate the established system in all its complexities. In all of this, they are united by the goal of a prosperous future.“

Uncle Samsik is written and directed by Shin Yeonshick, who wrote the screenplay for It’s shooting in Seoulthe last film of Song Kang-horeleased at the end of 2023.
