What better way to kick off 2024 than a heist on a cargo plane?

Netflix opens the year with a first cinema event, During the flighta heist film directed by F. Gary Gray (The Italian Job, Fast and Furious 8). The final trailer (below) reveals Kevin Hart in the shoes of Cyrus Whitaker, a master thief wanted internationally, who accepts a final contract that is unusual to say the least. Hired by the authorities, he must team up with agent Abby Gladwell (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) to steal half a billion dollars in gold from a plane in mid-flight. This mission could clear Cyrus and his partners forever since it involves stealing money used to finance the cell of a dangerous terrorist (Jean Reno). Like any good heist film, each member of the team has their specialty: the forger Denton (Vincent D’Onofrio), pilot Camila (Ursula Corbero) and tech-guy Magnus (Billy Magnussen).

Sam Worthington, Viveik Kalra And Kim Yun-jee are also announced in the casting. During the flight will be available on Netflix from January 12.
