Spectacular new trailer for Planet of the Apes: The New Kingdom

Who can stop the reign of primates?

The Earth is now theirs! A new trailer for the new film The Planet of the Apes has just been revealed and it shows that our world is no longer ours. Humans have lost domination of the planet. The primates, led by a charismatic leader, have made it their New Kingdom.

The video thus shows Noa (Owen Teague), “a young monkey who struggles to meet his father’s expectations. The ban on discovering the world beyond his village keeps him ignorant of the history of the human race and its past domination.”

On the human side, it is Freya Allan (of The Witcher) who will play Nova, “a lively young woman who, like all humans, lives withdrawn in the shadow of the monkeys. Beneath its fragile appearance, Nova could well hold the power to change the future of apes and humans.”

But that’s without counting on Proximus César (Kevin Durand), “tyrannical and charismatic leader of the new kingdom of the apes, Proximus Caesar leads a formidable army of primates. He aspires to know and master technology, history and human communications.”

Directed by Wes Ballthis new film takes place “several generations after Caesar’s reign” details the synopsis. “The monkeys have definitely taken over. Humans, for their part, have regressed to the wild state and live in seclusion. As a new tyrannical leader gradually builds his empire, a young ape embarks on a perilous journey that will lead him to question everything he knows about the past and make choices that will define the future of apes and humans..”

Planet of the Apes: The New Kingdom will be released on May 8 in cinemas in France.
