A new series which will take place on a university campus.

15 years after his departure from The Office, Steve Carell will rediscover the joys of the comedy series. The American actor will star in the new creation of Bill Lawrenceto whom we owe Scrubs, Spin Cityand more recently Ted Lasso And Shrinking.

Still untitled, this prestige series for HBO will take place on a university campus, and will center on the complicated relationship of an author with his daughter.

“HBO has long been a standard bearer for quality television. Being able to do a series there with Steve Carell is an immediate career highlight. Nothing can go wrong from there!” smiles Lawrence in a press release. He co-wrote the first episode with Matt Tarses and the two will serve as showrunners. Steve Carell will be executive producer.

The series will have 10 episodes. No release date yet.
