The creator also announced that filming of the final part of the Shelby saga will begin next September.

The last time we took the temperature to find out where the film project supposed to close the saga of the Shelby family, heroes of Peaky Blinders, Steven Knight said he had almost completed the script. As for Cillian Murphyhe hesitated to embark on this final part, arguing that he liked “well the ambiguity of the end of the series”.

These statements had worried fans of the British drama. Peaky Blinders without Thomas Shelby? Impossible. Rest assured, the Irishman, who has just won the Oscar for Best Actor for his incarnation of Oppenheimer, will put on his cap again to close the series as it should.

It's on the red carpet of the premiere of her very latest baby, This Townthat Steven Knight lifted the veil on these uncertainties at the microphone of Birmingham World: “It is established, it (Cillian Murphy) will come back for the film”.

Good news for fans of the Birmingham gang, coupled with a second announcement which should also delight them: “We’re shooting it (the film) in September, just a stone’s throw away, in the Digbeth district”. Perhaps we will see the Peaky Blinders on the big screen in 2025?
