Stranger Things: A fun character from season 4 won’t return in season 5

Actor Eduardo Franco announces that he is not part of the cast of the final season.

No time to chill with Argyle. Stranger Things attacks its final season and the last chapter should reveal terrible chaos in Hawkins. Eleven will need all of her friends to defeat Vecna. But obviously no Argyle. Jonathan’s friend, who smokes joints and drives a van, caused a sensation in season 4.

His interpreter, Edward Franco, announced today that Argyle will not return in the final season. In an interview with the Steve Varley Show, he was asked about his absence in the cast photo recently posted online, with the whole gang reunited on set. The actor revealed that he simply didn’t get a call back:

“It’s nice to hear that fans are wondering where I’ve been… But no, I never got a phone call. So yeah… I think it’s over for me!”

Season 5 of Stranger Things is currently filming. It will be broadcast in 2025 on Netflix.
