Superman won’t arrive late despite the Hollywood strike
The Superman: Legacy movie officially keeps its original release date.
This is the central project of the new DC Universe, the one on which the rest of the saga imagined by James Gunn is supposed to be based. And the director has good news to share with fans: despite the strike, filming can take place as planned and production has not fallen too far behind schedule.
“Thanks to the efforts of our talented team, who never lost confidence during the longest strikes in Hollywood history, and who never took their foot off the accelerator, continuing to move forward, creating the characters and the most amazing sets I’ve seen in my entire career, Superman Legacy will arrive on the originally scheduled release date of July 11, 2025.”.

No postponement for Superman: Legacy SO. Warner Bros. will be able to release the film during the summer of 2025. It will be July 9, 2025 in France.
Superman: Legacy will not be an origin story, but will tell “the fragile balance that Clark Kent, aka Superman, must find between his Kryptonian origin and his life as a human.” David Corenswet will play the title role opposite Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.
