Sydney Sweeney gives news about season 3 of Euphoria

Cassie's interpreter confirms that filming will begin within a few weeks.

After having toured the world twice, once for the promotion of Everything except youromantic comedy in which she shares the poster with Glen Powell and who no longer has to prove his success; the other, for Madame WebSony's latest flop, Sydney Sweeney is ready to reprise the character of Cassandre “Cassie” Howard, the artichoke heart ofEuphoriathe HBO series that revealed her to the general public.

Thus, it would seem that despite the writers' strike which had postponed the production of the third part of the series Sam Levinsonand the very busy schedules of the main actors (Zendaya just finished promoting Dune: part twowhile Jacob Elordi has just completed those of Priscilla And Saltburn before becoming the creature in the Frankenstein of del Toro), filming should begin shortly. Sydney Sweeney confirms this to GQthe production of season 3 ofEuphoria will begin within two months.

Good news for fans of the drama series, who can't wait to discover what Sam Levinson has concocted for them for the continuation of the adventures of Rue, Jules and the others. Last year, the showrunner revealed that he wanted to focus on an aesthetic of “dark movie” for this new season, teasing a universe even darker than those of the first two parts. Sydney Sweeney says no more, but comments:

“People are going to be amazed at what season three becomes. I think it’s a good thing because the first two seasons were so different.”

As to whether Euphoria will have a season four, the 26-year-old actress leaves doubt:

“That, frankly, I don’t know. I think if there are still things to say with Cassie's character, then yes (she would reprise her role, editor's note), because I love this role and the community. But it will depend on whether it serves the story.”

Season 3 ofEuphoria will normally be broadcast in 2025 on HBO. But while waiting to return to the high school corridors, Sydney Sweeney is starring inImmaculatea horror film which will be released in cinemas on March 20.
