Sylvester Stallone would see Ryan Gosling becoming the new Rambo

When he was younger, Ryan Gosling was affected by the film, so much so that he thought he was Rambo…

Even if he esteems himself personally “too ugly“to play Ken, Sylvester Stallone focuses on Ryan Gosling for the Rambo legacy. “If I ever pass the baton, I will pass it on to him…

On the occasion of an episode of The Tonight Show, Sylvester Stallone gave his blessing to Ryan Gosling to play Rambo, for a potential project rebirth of the iconic franchise. Sylvester Stallone played the US Army Special Forces fighter in five films – the first dating from 1982.

I met (Ryan Gosling) at a dinner. Obviously, we are opposed. He is handsome. I’m not. Seriously ! Can you imagine me as Ken? This doesn’t work at all“, first exclaimed the actor, screenwriter and director.

Ryan told me: ‘I was fascinated by Rambo, I went to school dressed like him, people wanted to stop me, and I still wouldn’t stop. I was taking vacations like Rambo. He kept saying he had a lot of similarities with Rambo. I thought it would be interesting. If I ever pass the baton, I will pass it to him because he likes the character.”

Would Ryan Gosling take on this shift, from Ken to Rambo?

Sylvester Stallone has his own idea on the matter: “I would say yes, but I don’t know if we would judge it as ‘too handsome’ to play Rambo”.

The possibility of seeing one day Ryan Gosling in the guise of a veteran is not impossible. Ryan Gosling has already expressed his admiration for Rambo. In 2011, the actor revealed that the first opus had him so much “bewitched”, that he thought “be Rambo”.

I even thought my face looked like Sylvester Stallone’s and put a bunch of steak knives in my Fisher-Price Houdini kit. I took it to school the next day and threw them to all the kids at recess“, remember Ryan Gosling.

Even if he does not claim to share the beauty of Ryan Gosling, Sylvester Stallone nevertheless contributed to the elegance of Ken – a role for which Ryan Gosling competes for Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars. In the columns of Varietyhe confided that Stallone’s ’80s wardrobe greatly inspired Ken’s mink coat:

“We discovered that Stallone wore a lot of mink. The mink coat helped differentiate Ken from the other Kens.”

We will see if Ryan Gosling will pay tribute to the actor who played his hero during the Oscars ceremony – perhaps he will wear Ken’s legendary mink coat?

Will Ryan Gosling sing “I’m Just Ken” at the Oscars? The actor is under pressure!
