A first trailer for Killers of the Flower Moon had been unveiled last May, a few days before the event presentation of the film out of competition at the Cannes Film Festival. Its screening was followed by a series of praise from the national and international press, hailing the cinematographic gesture of Martin Scorsese, who, at nearly 80 years old, is still one of the most prominent directors of his time.

In the cast of this new film, we find for the second time on screen, 30 years later Secret Wounds by Michael Caton-Jones, the duo Robert de Niro – Leonardo DiCapriofilming for the first time together in front of the camera of their mentor Martin Scorsese. Lily Gladstone will hold the head of these two tenors in the role of a wealthy Osage, who will become a walking target for a gang of formidable mafiosos, falling at the same time under the spell of the character of Leonardo DiCaprio, victim by association of this gear in part hosted by his uncle, played by De Niro. For the rest of the distribution, we can also find Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, John Lithgow or even Brendan Fraser.

David Grann, author of the semi-historical, semi-fictional work on which the film is based, has repeatedly praised the work of Martin Scorsese, impressed by “how these historical figures came to life.” For her part, Lily Gladstone, herself of Nimiipu and Pikuni origin, two indigenous peoples, returned several times to the way Scorsese and the entire film crew got along with real members of the Osage community: “It was very refreshing, the way the production worked together with the Osage community. As she trusted us, she became more and more involved in the film, which became different as the filming progressed.”
