The 2024 Golden Globes crown Succession and The Bear

The family drama and food comedy dominated their respective categories. Netflix’s Beef dominated that of mini-series. The whole list.

We expected a raid of Successionto Golden Globes 2024. It took place. The Roy family got their hands on the series trophies from the 81st ceremony. For its 4th and final season, particularly successful, Succession offers 4 prizes, including Best Drama, but above all three interpretation prizes for Sarah Snook (Best Actress), Kieran Culkin (Best Actor) and Matthew Macfadyen (Best Supporting Actor). Alone J. Smith-Cameron (who plays Gerri) did not win in his category, beaten by Elizabeth Debecki (for Best Supporting Actress), the interpreter of Diana in The Crown. The big loser of the evening is called The Last of Us. No prizes for the most popular series of 2023. “Take that Pedro Pascal!” Kieran Culkin even gloated on stage after snatching the trophy!

For his part, The Bear was crowned Best Comedy, while Jeremy Allen White And Ayo Edebiri won the statuettes for Best Actor and Best Actress. Despite 5 nominations, Only Murders in the Building leaves empty-handed. Even Meryl Streepthe prize queen, was beaten.

Finally, another hat-trick for Relentless (Beef), crowned in the Mini-series category, at the same time as the actress Ali Wong and his friend Steven Yeun.
