The 3-Body Problem is as ambitious as Game of Thrones tease Benioff and Weiss

“The end of the third book is one of my favorite endings,” says Benioff.

The duo of showrunners who brought to the screen Game Of Thrones come together again to adapt The 3-body problem. David Benioff And DB Weiss deliver a first season on Netflix of Liu Cixin’s literary work. The sci-fi show has a complex metaphysical plot, chronicling the coming together of a group of international scientists to confront humanity’s greatest threat.

In an interview for the Empire, Benioff And Weiss talk about their new baby like a new narrative bomb with twists worthy of Game Of Thrones : “Honestly, the ending of the third book is one of my favorite endings of all the giant sagas of all time, so we want to get there, asserts Benioff, the hardest is always the first season. Can we justify Netflix’s big investment? I have a feeling it’s going to grow as it evolves. I have good hope.

Game of Thrones creators still haven’t seen House of the Dragon

The series puts the actors back on stage Liam Cunningham And John Bradleyalready cast in GoT but brings together other stars like Benedict Wong, I ss Hong, Joan Adepo And Eiza Gonzalez. DB Weiss recounts the feeling similar to Iron Throne when they developed The 3-body problem : “The feeling that maybe it was too much was familiarhe begins, that’s what we felt with Game Of Thrones, in conjunction with a huge amount of enthusiasm about what possibilities this could take if we can get it off the ground. It was terror at the magnitude of what was before us. If you’re not afraid, you’re doing something wrong.

Let us then expect a series of cosmic magnitude, if we trust the words of the two showrunners. The Three-Body Problem will be available on Netflix from March 21, 2024 and presented at the opening of the Séries Mania Festival, which takes place from March 15 to 22.
