The A-Team, the film: a plan without a hitch (review)

Joe Carnahan's adaptation of the cult series is a supercharged blockbuster which unfortunately did not entirely enjoy the success hoped for.

The All Risks Agency, the film adapted from the famous 80's TV series returns this evening on TMC. This project has long been gathering dust in producers' boxes. Until 2010: it is Joe Carnahan (Narc, Price Mi$e, The Territory of Wolves) which puts in a box, with a nice cast: Liam Neeson in the role of Hannibal, the highly rated Bradley Cooper (Very Bad Trip) in the role of Futé, Sharlto Copley (District 9) for Looping, and finally, in the emblematic role of Barracuda, Quinton “Rampage” Jacksonfamous free fight fighter.

The Territory of Wolves is much more than a virile survival game (review)

Here is the review of Firstpublished upon its release: “We didn't expect much from it and we were very wrong. A major commissioned film which is a reaction of recent actioners to disembodied heroes (the Bourne trilogy), The All Risks Agency offers a rereading of the 80's series according to the 3F rule: fun, faithful and unifying. Suddenly everything is in its place: the flashy action scenes, the funky references to the series, the explosive generosity and the sense of the formula. Uninhibited, L'Agence tous risks is well placed to be the coolest blockbuster of this summer, one which perfectly embraces its ambition: entertainment. We clearly find Carnahan's fixations (more mercenaries and a vaguely political subtext, winks of look at MI:III), but here, everything is so locked, jumpcut and boosted that it works. A plan without a hitch.”
