The Area of Interest is stronger than Argylle at the French box office

This week, the box office had some surprises in store for us. The Area of Interestof Jonathan Glazer had an excellent start during its first week of operation with 220,618 admissions (excluding previews). A score much higher than his previous film since ten years earlier, Under the Skin concluded its first week with 48,368 tickets sold. In just seven days, this drama about the Auschwitz camp brought together more spectators than all its previous ones over time.

Preserve continues to be a hit (104,544 entries, cumulative attendance of 1,778,090 spectators) at the end of its seventh week; Poor creatures (93,308 entries, cumulative 410,005 vouchers) still attracts the curious during its third week of operation and Wonka (78,745 admissions, cumulative 3,590,370 tockets) is making more and more young and old people dream at the end of its eighth week, confirming the longevity and popularity of films from Paul King (Paddington 1 And 2).
The millionaire Palme d’Or Anatomy of a fall is making a comeback at the box office, benefiting from a catch-up release of the best films of 2023. Justine Triet continues its rise by attracting 65,130 more spectators, allowing the film to come close to 1,500,000 admissions. The top 10 closes with May December (64,281 entries for a total of 183,177) Todd Hayneswith Natalie Portman And Julian Moorewhich is finishing its second week of operation and Amelia’s Children (57,593 admissions in first week), a horror film by Gabriel Abrantes.
