The Avatar series unveils a new teaser around Aang, Katara and Sokka

The trio’s friendship will be central in Netflix’s new live action version.

Netflix has just released brand new images from its series Avatar: The Last Airbender, in live action. A short trailer that focuses on the trio of heroes who will be at the center of the plot. The video shows how the friendship of Aang, Katara and Sokka will be born and develop. In particular, we discover a glimpse of their first meeting within the South Pole Water Tribe.

At the casting, Gordon Cormier will play Aang while Kiawentiio, young Canadian actress of Native American origin will be Katara. The American Ian Ousley will be Sokka.

Albert Kim (Sleepy Hollow, Nikita) is the showrunner. Series Avatar is directed by Jabbar Raisani and Jet Wilkinson. Released February 22 on Netflix.
