The Boys in Mexico! A new spin-off series is coming to Prime Video

Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal will be involved in this first international version of the franchise.

While season 2 of Gen V is already being prepared and that season 4 of The Boys is fast approaching, the Supes franchise will expand even further. Comforted by the great success of the first spin-off at the university, Prime Video has decided to order a new spin-off series entitled The Boys: Mexico.

Deadline reveals that the writer of the DC film, Blue Beetle, Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, was hired to write a script. Players Diego Luna (Andor) And Gael Garcia Bernal (Mozart in the Jungle), two of the biggest Mexican stars in Hollywood, will serve as executive producers on the project. And they might be in the casting too,”considering playing roles on the show, even if they wouldn’t be major roles.”

Very little information about the plot is yet known. But we understand from the title that The Boys: Mexico will seek to internationalize the story a little more, by taking the Supes out of American borders, to show the impact of their power on the rest of the world.

For the moment, no date or showrunner signed. And of course, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg and Eric Kripke will once again be producers to oversee all this behind the scenes.
