The Boys is almost over! Season 5 will be the last
Creator Eric Kripke announces on the networks his intention to follow through with his initial plan.
48 hours before the launch of season 4 of The Boysthe boss of the series, Eric Kripkemakes a resounding announcement: this new chapter in the universe of Vought and Homelander will be the penultimate, because “Season 5 will be the last season!”
On the networks, the showrunner assures that it is his decision: “It still has my plan, I just had to be careful until I get the final OK from Vought” he laughs before concluding: “I'm excited to bring the story to a bloody, epic, steamy climax. Watch season 4 in two days, because the end has begun!”

Amazon has already ordered season 5 of its most popular series from Prime Video, but has not yet communicated on its upcoming end.
Eric Kripke therefore will not do with The Boys what he did with it supernaturalwhich ended after 15 seasons instead of the 5 seasons initially planned…
Still, the franchise should continue. The spin-off Gen V was well born and will return at least for a second season. Another spin-off Mexico is also in the pipeline.
