The Champs Élysées Film Festival reveals the entire 2024 juries: Ovidie, Alma Jodorowsky, Marie-Ange Luciani…

There will be lots of people to support presidents Rebecca Zlotowski and Jean-Baptiste Durand.

Celebrating French and American independent cinema, the Champs Élysées Film Festival (CEFF) has just announced the complete list of juries. “Brilliant, singular, daring and authentic personalities”, its organizers immediately tease.

In the presidency, we find Rebecca Zlotowski who notably carried out Planetarium with Natalie Portman presented at the Venice Film Festival in 2016. Her latest film, Other people's children, had caught the attention of First :

“By telling a love story between a forty-year-old and the estranged father of a 4-year-old girl, she (Rebbeca Zlotowski) signs her most endearing film, magnified by the alchemy between Virginie Efira and Roschdy Zem.”

At his side will stand Alma Jodorowsky – the granddaughter of the one who dreamed Dune and who stars in the series Split by Idris Bey – Jimmy Laporal-Trésor – including the film Black Soldier was presented at the Semaine de critique in 2021 and nominated for the Césars – as well as Nicolas Peduzzi – director limit stateJury and Critics Grand Prize at the previous edition of the festival.

As a bonus, will also be present to select the winner, Marie-Ange Lucianiproducer with three Césars who recently won over critics, festivals and international ceremonies for Anatomy of a fall by Justine Triet.

To judge the short films, the jury is led by Jean-Baptiste Durand including the first feature film, Dog of the breakage, earned him seven César nominations.

To accompany it, we find Emilie Brisavoineactress in The Battle of Solferino by Justine Triet, Park Ji-Min who played his first role in Return to Seoul by Davy Chou – a film that delighted First – And Nans Laborde-Jourdaanominated for the Césars twice and a regular at the festival.

There will also be Ovidie, director of fiction and documentaries deciphering sexuality in all its forms. She won an Emmy Award in 2023 for the series Very ordinary people.

The official selection of feature films will be revealed at the beginning of June, while for short films it will be May 6. Several programs are planned for short formats.

This year, the 13th edition of the Champs Élysées Film Festival will be held from June 18 to 25, 2024.
