The filming of the film Community will be “for next summer”

Joel McHale is confident.

Joel McHale can’t wait to go back to college. Eight years after leaving Greendale, he is preparing to return to play in Community for the famous film, awaited by fans for ages.

Now that the strikes are over in Hollywood, the project can move forward:

“It’s going to be incredible. We were supposed to make this film last summer and then there was the strike. So we have to find a time to fit our schedules, and I think the filming will probably be done on next summer.”

Nothing is set in stone yet, but “that’s what I hope“, continues Joel McHale in this Collider interview. “Everyone is up for coming back and we signed. I mean, everyone’s ready. We just need to find the time to do it now.”

Dan Harmon will also be back. It was he who wrote this film, officially announced for the Peacock platform in September 2022.
