The Handmaid’s Tale final season won’t air until 2025 (at the earliest)

I don’t even remember…” Guest on the set of Jimmy Kimmel’s Late Show last night, Elizabeth Moss readily admits: she no longer knows when season 5 was broadcast, it was such a long time ago! Yes, the sequel (and the end) of The Handmaid’s Tale seriously starting to drag on. “People keep asking me when the sequel will be released… I don’t dare tell them we haven’t even started filming yet!

Season 6 of The Handmaid’s Tale, which will be the last of the show, is not for now. And Moss immediately confirmed:

“We’re going to film this summer. And our last season will air… not before 2025, maybe…”

We understand that the end The Handmaid’s Tale could even make us wait until 2026, if things drag on. It must be said that beyond the strikes which paralyzed Hollywood last year, Elizabeth Moss spent 2023 filming The Veil, a new spy series. Then she became pregnant with her first child. She will give birth in the spring. And when she is ready to go back to work, then filming for season 6 can begin.
