The creators of Game of Thrones are adapting a trilogy of Chinese novels. First extract.

This is a long-standing project. More than three years after starting development of their new series, the creators of Game Of Thrones finally reveal The 3-Body Problem. David Benioff and DB Weiss adapt a large saga of complex and metaphysical science fiction novels for Netflix, 3 Body Problemswritten by Liu Cixin.

A few months after the first teaser, Netflix today unveils a large preview and a long unpublished extract which shows the former GOT, John Bradley, putting on a virtual reality headset that he has difficulty understanding. Especially since the device propels him into a totally unknown world… where he is “not invited” !

Along the way, we finally discover the broadcast date. The 3-Body Problem will be launched on March 21 on Netflix

The pitch: “In 1960s China, a young woman makes a disastrous decision whose repercussions across time and space will affect a group of brilliant researchers in today’s world. As the laws of nature change disrupted before their eyes, five former colleagues come together to face the worst danger that has ever threatened humanity.”

The cast also includes Benedict Wong, Eiza González, and Liam Cunningham.
